Ask a Question

So many people have asked for this that we decided to kit it to make it easier for you to choose.  This adapter is specially designed to plug into any Bobcat® 7 Pin connector and allow the operator to run up to 1 x 12 volt solenoid directly from the stick controls of your Bobcat®.  Works on Bobcat® skid steer loaders as well as Toolcat® and Versahandler® machines.

Your Caterpillar dozer blade has 2 solenoids that operate in parallel top each other so here is what you do.

  1. Unplug your existing 8 pin harness.
  2. Plug in the genius Y-Adaptor
  3. Plug in the Genius extension harness.
  4. Plug the Genius extension harness into our CB-1000 controller.
  5. Plug the Genius CB-1000 into your Bobcat 7 pin.
  6. Swap the hydraulic couplers on your hose ends because Bobcat pressure is female where Caterpillar is male.
  7. Enjoy full joystick operation of your Ceterpillar Dozer blade on your Bobcat.

Takes about 1 minutes to install.  Is 100% plug and play.  This configuration is for plug mount so you can use it over and over on any attachment that has one solenoid to control.  This is complete and ready for plug and play directly into any Bobcat® branded machine.  It has an indicator LED to show you that you have power and that it is receiving commands from the Bobcat® machine.

This is not just a plug in adapter.  There is a microprocessor with software loaded along with an IC driver circuit that enables this to work.  That is why it costs more than just a plain old connector.

  • i have a new john deere skid steer trying to hookup a bobcat sweeper and hammer attachments

A hammer does not need electrical.  Just swap the couplers so the flow is going in the right direction.  The sweeper needs a harness.  Move the Ground pin in the machine and save yourself a lot of time and money in the future.  Here is a link to the harness needed for the sweeper and a link for pin moving instructions.

  • I have a T596 bobcat trying to hookup sweepster angle broom made by paladin will this wort

I doubt it.  The angle brooms have two solenoids where this will only control one.  Without knowing the connector on the broom, I would have to guess so I will give you links to the units that I know will work and you can decide on the connector, if any.

  • I have a CAT SR318 snow blower, will this allow me to run it on a Bobcat Toolcat 5610 with a 7 pin harness?

No it will not.  This is a single output controller kit for a Cat Dozer.  A snow blower requires 4 outputs.  This is what you need.

  • I have a 6 way cat blade and it just plugs into one controller that come with the blade to make the tilt work then you run other plug to the battery but I have to swivel the blade all the way to one side with with constant pressure for my tilt to work from my switch will this fix that the bobcat is a t770

The Cat blades have a dual port solenoid valve that bypasses flow to tilt when no power is applied. With your right stick momentary hydraulic control you can tilt it left and right. By applying power you will bypass the main flow and divert the flow to the secondary function. You will still need to use the same hydraulic toggle while holding the other button to then actuate the angling function. This controller kit works perfect for this application.

  • I have an Erskine broom with two solenoids setup to run on a cat skid steer 14 pin, do you have a harness to convert this broom to a bobcat 7 pin configuration? thank you.

Yes. Please use the following product. It will plug into your Bobcat 7 pin and decode the controls as you operate the buttons. It will provide up to 4 outputs and can be used on multiple attachments with up to four solenoids. Here is the item. SG-CB-4014

  • Hi, I read Q&A #4 about the bobcat T650 to a Cat 6 ways dozer blade and I am not I understand the answer. I have a 2017 Bobcat T650 with 7 pin control. I plan to buy a second hand Cat 6 ways dozer blade model 231-5277. 6 ways means 3 solenoids but this kit has only 1 output. How does that work? Would a SG-CB-4008 be more appropriate? Also, if I like to spend a little more money and plan for more flexibility in the future (e.g. universal 14 pins) what would you recommend? thank you for your help.

6 way is kind of a mis-nomer in this case.  The pitch is handled by moving your machine quick change forward and back.  The angle is handled by your primary hydraulic controls which gives you left and right.  Your tilt is handled by triggering the solenoids and using your hydraulic contol to tilt left and right.  That's what they call 6 way.  If it has an old 8 pin, I would just change it all out with this kit.  CLICK HERE

  • I have a new bobcat t66 7 pin and trying to hook up to a paladin atp84 dozer blade which has a 14pin connector. Will this work?

No it will not.  It is for a Cat Dozer blade.  You can use this, but you willneed to chop off their trailer connector and use our pigtail.
