Introducing our NEW SMART Control Harness System - The Plug Pro

This was engineered to enhance the performance, efficiency, and usability of your attachments.

Because we operate exclusively online, we frequently assist customers with installation and troubleshooting via phone or text. This harness is designed to simplify that process. It reduces installation time and provides clear visual feedback to confirm whether your circuits and controls are functioning properly. It also helps identify which in-cab switches control specific functions, allowing you to configure and operate your attachment with confidence.

Another practical innovation from the team at Skid Steer Genius.

Product Overview

This harness features a 10-foot cable with a Deutsch 14-pin connector, pre-configured to the common Bobcat® pin layout. This configuration is widely compatible across multiple equipment brands, including:

Case, Gehl, Kubota*, JCB/Volvo, Mustang, Takeuchi, New Holland, John Deere, Yanmar, Caterpillar (2014 and newer), and Wacker Neuson—when used with Bobcat®, Erskine, and Quick Attach branded attachments.

A built-in internal ground jumper allows for easy configuration adjustments, including compatibility with Cat D-Series High Flow machines and older Bobcat pump control systems.

Connector Options

Different attachment manufacturers use different solenoid connector styles. To accommodate this, we offer three versions:

Version 1 – SG-BPH-14-6-9DP-S (Delphi Connectors)
Identifiable by a jumper wire from the solenoid and a mating connector with a blue cap.

Version 2 – SG-BPH-14-6-9DT-S (Deutsch Connectors)
Features a molded, square-style solenoid connection. Plugs are typically black or grey with an orange or green insert.

Version 3 – SG-BPH-14-6-9DN-S (DIN Connectors)
Recognizable by square connector housings on the end of each wire.

7-Pin Bypass Harness (6 Output – Delphi)

This harness connects machines from major brands (Case, Gehl, Kubota*, JCB/Volvo, Mustang, Takeuchi, New Holland, John Deere, Yanmar, Caterpillar 2014+, and Wacker Neuson) to Bobcat®, Erskine, and Quick Attach attachments.

Originally developed to solve compatibility issues for customers who unknowingly purchased 7-pin-only attachments, this harness has become a widely adopted solution. Many of these attachments were designed to limit compatibility across brands, requiring costly modifications or additional equipment.

Our solution bypasses those limitations—delivering a simple, reliable way to operate attachments across multiple platforms.

Compatibility & Configuration

The harness ships pre-configured for the standard Bobcat pin layout, which is compatible with most major brands. However, minor adjustments may be required for certain machines:

  • Cat D & Next Gen Series - Hidden High Flow Jumper Inside Connector
    Move Pin G → A
    Move Pin H → J
For XPS install the black jumper into the K position inside the connectorFor XE/XHP install the black jumper into the N position inside the connector

  • John Deere
    Move Pin B → A
(Optional: modify machine-side configuration for universal compatibility)

  • Case Enhanced Flow
    • You will need to order the optional HF jumper and install it in K & L sockets.

A built-in jumper (included inside the connector) can be installed to provide ground at both positions A and B, which works for most applications except Cat D-Series.

Click here for a video on how to move the sockets.

Each kit includes:

  • Wiring diagram

  • Installation instructions

  • Pin removal tool for easy adjustments

All pins are professionally crimped for reliability.

How It Works

Many Bobcat®-branded attachments with 7-pin systems include an onboard control module (computer). In many cases, this adds unnecessary complexity.

Our harness bypasses that system entirely by connecting directly from your machine to the attachment’s solenoids. This simplifies operation, reduces potential failure points, and restores compatibility with standard control systems used across the industry.

Important Notes

  • The harness supports control of up to 6 solenoids

  • Some attachments may use multiple solenoids per function—please verify prior to ordering

  • Machines with limited outputs (e.g., older Kubota SVL models) may not support full functionality without additional controls

Support & Proven Performance

We have shipped thousands of these harnesses and maintain an extensive internal compatibility database. Every purchase includes unlimited customer support to ensure proper installation and operation.

Our harness does not modify or interfere with your machine’s internal systems. It simply bypasses the attachment-side control module and connects directly to the solenoids. This approach improves reliability by reducing system complexity and potential points of failure.

Technical Information

Bobcat®branded attachments that have a 7 pin harness installed have a computer installed on the attachments. We run our harnesses directly to the solenoids on the attachments from your skid steer loader. Bobcat®installs a computer right in the middle of the action. In most cases it is total overkill and not needed. They have only a few attachments that have a lot of functions that need more than the usual 8 or 14 pin outputs on every other brand in the market. In our opinion, it has more to to with marketing. They are under the mistaken thought that you will only ever buy Bobcat branded attachments. Instead, it just costs you a lot of money changing them back to the way that every other manufacturer does it.

Our harness bypasses their computer and plugs directly into the solenoids and brings the attachment back to modern reality. The other end plugs into your 14 pin harness on your machine. The only issue we have seen is if your machine is not wired for enough outputs to run that particular attachment. Example. Kubota SVL75 & SVL90, SVL95 (2016 and prior) loaders only have two outputs. This will work OK on items like brooms, but not much more. Not sure why they did not think ahead an allow for more outputs, but that is just the reality. As of June 2014 Kubota added an add on button controller to allow more controls.  Check out the Genius Super Controllers for an easier installation at 1/3 of the cost.

Disclaimer

We started as attachment manufacturers and felt that the 7 pin option was only designed to block users from running their attachments on anything but Bobcat®brands.  There are so many hostile customers out there that we felt that we could help, so here is the deal. We built one of these to see if it would work. Our customer was more than happy to help out with feedback of how he used the harness. We posted this to our database so we could help the next guy. He posted the results to an online forum and then our phones starting ringing off the hook. So we now operate Skid Steer Genius as an example of how to actually help people and not hinder them.
