Description

6 Output CAN controller with a Deutsch HD 14-pin output connector for Bobcat skid steer loaders, Toolcat, and Versahandler machines. The 14-pin output format allows direct connection to most standard 14-pin skid steer attachments. Operates all 6 outputs from the Bobcat stick controls via CAN bus.  Works with attachments from 2014+ Cat D/Next Gen, Case, Develon, Gehl, Kubota, John Deere*, JCB/Volvo, Mustang, Takeuchi, New Holland, Manitou, Yanmar, Sunward, Hyundai, Yanmar & Wacker Neuson.

*For Cat you may be required to move two pins depending on the attachment as well as remove the high flow sense pin in the attachment socket to avoid blowing the machine fuse.  Contact us for more details before you plug the adapter in.  K pin on the attachment must be pushed back since this is a high flow sense.

**John Deere attachments use Pin A for ground while every other brand uses Pin B.  You will need to move the attachment ground from Pin A to Pin B prior to using this controller.

Technical Information

Installation:

Installation takes approximately one minute and is 100% plug and play. This boom mount configuration allows the controller to be used repeatedly across any attachment with up to six solenoids. The adapter ships fully assembled and is ready to connect directly to any Bobcat® branded machine. It includes integrated power and communication features, plus a port status indicator LED to confirm the unit is powered and receiving commands from the Bobcat® machine.

Upgrade from the inferior control boxes supplied by attachment manufacturers and transition to reliable machine integrated controls.

Important Note for Cat D-Series Attachments:

To adapt, reposition pins G to A and H to J.

For high flow setups, be sure to push the K pin back to disconnect the high flow sense. This pin functions as a ground in Cat attachments, but it carries +12 volts in Bobcat machines. If connected incorrectly, it can blow your fuse.

Important Note:

The Bobcat 2020+ Versahandler 923 is NOT compatible with this model because it does not feature an ACD controller.

Programming Instructions:

Channels C and D are pre configured as momentary controls. If you would like them to function as locking switches, each channel can be individually programmed to latch.

To program:

  1. Turn off the key.
  2. Select either A1 or A2.
  3. Press and hold the selected button while turning on the machine.
  4. Continue holding the button for 5 seconds until the LEDs flash.

Your channels are now programmed and ready for use.

Product Outputs:

  • A1/A2 (Pins C/D): Configurable to latch. One or both can be set to latch while the remaining outputs stay momentary.
  • B1/B2 (Pins E/F): Designed for momentary operation only.
  • C1/C2 (Pins G/H): Designed for momentary operation only.
  • B (Ground) and K: Provides a constant output.

Operational Limitations:

Due to fuse and circuit constraints, only two outputs can operate simultaneously. Attempting to set three outputs to latch will reset the circuit and require reprogramming of the adapter. This adapter ships with all outputs configured for momentary operation by default.
